Sr. UI/UX Designer to 145k – Boston, MA

This is a full time, on-site, salaried Sr. UI/UX Designer position located in Boston, MA paying to 145,000 per year depending on experience + benefits. No telecommuting allowed. US Citizens or Green Card holders only please. Local candidates preferred, but qualified persons interested in relocating too also considered. Our Boston client is seeking an exceptional Sr. UI/UX Designer to help concept and design innovative solutions. This role requires skills in visual design, information architecture, interaction design, user experience and an understanding of front-end web technologies.

Job Responsibilities:
* Lead new user interface designs through the full design and development cycle (including concepts, information architecture, visual design and interaction design)
* Lead cross-functional design reviews for design concepts, from initial wireframes and prototypes through feature completion
* Create functional prototypes that display highly innovative, engaging, and user centered designs
* Gather and define interface requirements through user visits, task flow analysis, contextual inquiry, and other data collection
* Guide development teams in creation of modern user interfaces with a focus on usability and intuitive, efficient user interaction
* Evangelize user-centered design through training, role modeling, and influencing project teams
* Author new windows and modify existing windows to demonstrate new approaches and concepts
* Promote GUI standards and consistency across all development teams at firm
* Research and analyze interfaces of competitive products

* 7-10 years of user-interface design experience with desktop and Internet solutions
* Bachelor’s degree minimum is required. CS or Human Factors degree is ideal
* Experience in mobile design/development
* Must be capable of layout design
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience with financial systems/Trading Systems is a huge plus
* Familiarity with HTML/CSS is a plus
