This is a 100% on-site, contract/hourly-paid Front-End Engineer job located in New York City paying $80 per hour for 12 months. No telecommuting allowed. Thank you.
The engineer is comfortable working across a range of web technologies and has a solid knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS. You are excited about working with modern development and product methodologies such as Agile development and testing in production. You will use ExtJS or Sencha to implement customer-facing, device agnostic-rich interfaces.
Required Experience:
* Strong knowledge of JavaScript as a core thing, this is the basis for all ExtJS, SenchaTouch, jQuery, Angular, etc.
* Current experience of developing web applications with ExtJS
* Strong understanding of Web architecture and technologies
* Experience as a professional programmer in a collaborative team environment using modern tools (Git or Subversion, issue tracking tools, document collaboration systems, and other ALM tools used by distributed teams)
* A solid grasp of algorithms, performance tradeoffs, and object oriented programming
